While the crime is truly heinous, the whole POINT of trying young people as juveniles is because society has determined that they lack the cognitive skills and perspective required to ACT as an adult. To try as an adult a boy who was 12 years old at the time of the crime (and who has been in custody ever since) is a shameful abuse of prosecutorial discretion, and should result in sanctions.
