ID: Brian Draper, 16, guilty of murder

From KPVI:

Verdict: Guilty for Brian Draper

After deliberating for four and a half hours, the jury in the Brian Draper murder trial has convicted the 16-year-old of First Degree Murder and Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Murder.

Draper's defense attorneys argued their client thought Torey Adamcik was making a movie and he did not know Cassie Jo Stoddart was going to die. They also argued Adamcik was the one who killed Stoddart and not Draper. Their defense was that Draper only stabbed Stoddart after she was dead because Adamcik threatened to kill Draper.

The ultimate piece of evidence against Brian Draper was a videotape he made with Torey Adamcik on the night of the murder...

Brian Draper deserves to die just like he did to kassie. He deserves to burn alive and be put out before he is dead and left to die.

I remember watching the sentencing on TV. The news channel spelled Cassie's last name wrong.

Watching their videotape and learning that they planned it, mostly to feel macho, causes me to hae absolutely no sympathy for the two boys. Yes they were young, yes they are impressionable teens, but to actually stab a young girl multiple times, after planning the entire thing out is the same as an adult murder. In the video they talked about more murders, that's why they need to be put away forever, they are a danger to society, and missing certain elements of developed society. They have no conscience.

I still have a hard time believin these 2 pieces's of feces came out of a human womb, just kill em and be done with it. Maybe someone will grant my wish while they are in prison.

yeah chances are that wont happen. Idaho is a very mellow system to be in.

Yeah lets be tough on crime. send these kids jail its what they deserve etc and so forth. it doesnt matter what they did, you dont send two kids to an adult prison for life without parole

^^ says one of the friends of the 2 fucking idiots. go away you loser. they deserve to die, both of them. you think if they were 18 it woulda made a difference? a 1.5 year difference changes the mind that much? they should totally be charged as adults and you're a complete moron for thinkign otherwise. of COURSE it matters what they did. jesus christ you're ignorant. why should they get a chance to live out more of their lives when they took someone elses? kill them asap, completely useless humans

If they get out on parole, they're going to get hunted down until somone gets rid of them. Too many people were affected by this that they'll actually stay alive long after prison.

Rip Cassie Jo <3

My condolences to Cassie's family. She was a beautiful young girl. It's very tragic her life was cut so short. I just wanna know one thing....why? =/ What could POSSIBLY have motivated these animals to kill a friend. what's the drive behind something so haneous like that?

First of all, my condolences are with the family, and my prayer is that time and family will heal this wound. I do not stand by this crime in any way. However, did any of you bloggers care to even read the case, reports, and publications? Both boys are gulty at best, should they be tried as adults, no. Should the "accomplice" be convicted of helping, maybe~he watched which in most minds today is as good as murder. But think about yourself for a minute, if this were you in their shoes, how would you want to be treated, esp. if you had no intention of a murder taking place. I say it was a short lived girl, whose death will be remembered at that we really need to pray for these boys, because behind every twisted murder is a person crying out for help.

If that had been YOUR daughter or sister or cousin or best friend they had killed would you still agree they should be let free? Also, they planned more murders. They wanted to do a school shooting. They are a danger to society. Keep them locked up forever. I wouldn't care if they were 8 years old who killed the girl. You murder someone, you deserve to be locked up forever. The girl they killed can't continue her life anymore and neither should they.

You young people don't have friends. You use the word "FRIEND" VERY LOOSELY but a real friend won't kill you. Cassie Jo really believed she had FRIENDS and man she has to be dead kid #1,888,901 who believed she had friends. having a common interest in one or more things does not mean you have friends! ESPECIALLY AT AGE 16. We live in a world where people are friggin killing for sport against other people FOR NO REASON other than true BULL CRAP.

I just saw this story on msnbc and my heart goes out to the entire bunch. What a sad world we live in today. And I thought sneaking the car was bad! I'm praying for the the entire youth generation - that they could get in my kind of trouble, back in the good ole days. God save us!!!

Those murderers deserve no second chance. There are certain things in life that are beyond human forgiveness. Nobody but Cassie has any right to say, "It's okay, guys, we forgive you." If you wath the video these murderers taped, pay attention to the part where they tried 8 or 9 times to kill others, but their plans failed because they couldn't catch somebody home alone. And as for the "accomplice" who "didn't think it was anything but a scary movie being made", that is just a last ditch effort to save his sorry ass. GUILTY AS CHARGED!

Kicks. Fun. It makes no sense unless one is a sociopath.
