Those misdemeanor guys I heard on the radio yesterday, talking about being forced to sleep without mattresses on the filthy concrete floor of the Harris County jail? Grits for Breakfast is all over the story, and has been tracking the problem of Houston jail overcrowding for a while now. The glimmer of hope is that the powers-that-be seem to be reading his blog.
